About Us
Mental health professionals helping you heal with ketamine, telepsychiatry, and wellness.
We founded LUMUS because we'd seen too much suffering go unmet. Patients cycling through medications that didn't work, leaving appointments feeling dismissed by a system with little left to offer.
We knew there had to be a better way—not just clinically, but humanly. That belief is the foundation everything at LUMUS is built on.

Meet Your Team
Psychiatrist-led. Evidence-based. Patient-centered.
Michael Garcia, M.D.
Founder & Mental Health Director
Double Board-Certified Psychiatrist • Child, Adolescent & Adult
Dr. Michael Garcia is a double board-certified psychiatrist specializing in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. As Founder and Mental Health Director of LUMUS, he built the practice on a belief that too much suffering goes unmet — and that patients deserve care that is not only clinically excellent but genuinely human. Dr. Garcia leads LUMUS's evidence-based IV ketamine therapy program alongside comprehensive concierge telepsychiatry, bringing psychiatric expertise across the full lifespan to every treatment plan. His approach centers on nuance, precision, and compassion, especially for patients who have not found relief through conventional treatments. At LUMUS, he personally guides each patient's journey from consultation through infusions and integration, with curated journaling prompts and intention-setting designed to deepen the therapeutic experience.
Angelica Parocua, MPAP, PA-C
Chief Operating Officer
Physician Associate
Angelica Parocua serves as Chief Operating Officer and Physician Associate at LUMUS, playing a vital role in both the clinical and operational foundation of the practice. She works alongside Dr. Garcia to ensure every patient receives care that is thorough, compassionate, and seamlessly coordinated. Angelica helps guide patients through their treatment journey — from initial consultation through infusions and follow-up — ensuring continuity and a supportive experience at every step. Her commitment to human-first care reflects the core LUMUS promise: that every patient is genuinely seen, heard, and cared for.
Kyle Gonzales, DNP, PMHNP-BC
Ketamine Infusion Specialist
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Kyle brings a rare combination to every LUMUS infusion: the clinical precision of a critical care nurse, the emotional attunement of a psychiatric nurse, the therapeutic depth of a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, and the human presence of someone who genuinely believes healing happens in the details and moments of stillness. Before specializing in psychiatry, Kyle worked as an ICU and psychiatric nurse — an experience that informs everything about how he approaches the infusion suite. He monitors with rigor, anticipates with experience, and holds the clinical and emotional space with the kind of steadiness that only comes from years at the bedside in high-acuity settings. At LUMUS, Kyle works in close collaboration with Dr. Garcia to create a 1:1 personalized infusion experience that is as therapeutically intentional as it is medically safe. His doctoral-level psychiatric training means he understands not just what ketamine does to the brain — but what it can do for the person inside it.
